The Story of... a Reflection

After watching The story of stuff and the story of Bottled Water, i felt that they were both extremely good ways of looking at things from a bigger picture and a broader perspective.
Many of the facts quoted in these videos seem to shed light on the fight for a greener lifestyle and it's pro's.

The entire video is basically and symbol for how we can become a greener world. The words used at the end of the first video suggest that the goal is sustainability, among other things. This means that the video itself and the topic it speaks of and promotes are all part of a bigger cause, and within that cause is sustainability.

–verb (used with object)
to support, hold, or bear up from below; bear the weight of, as a structure.
to undergo, experience, or suffer (injury, loss, etc.); endure without giving way or yielding.
to keep up or keep going, as an action or process: to sustain a conversation.
to supply with food, drink, and other necessities of life.

The many definitions of sustain all have to do with keeping up, and maintaining the state of something. sustainability surrounds the idea that we as humans must maintain the resources on the planet that we live on or we will lose the only thing stopping us from extinction.

The most interesting thing i learned, was actually something i already knew, but to have confirmed the fact that appliances can be programmed to become obsolete, was still very interesting. Like how my PS2 suddenly died when PS3's came out.

I believe that we do need to watch the world and our treatment of it because nothing is eternal. However the increased exponential way we are deteriorating our planet makes me feel like it will be impossible to stop.

The problem is that we all believe that we can just do whatever we want but if we continue to do so, we will all get a big fat slap from reality and we will finally understand the dangerous position we put ourselves in.
